Howdy! 👋 I'm Araya, pronounced "uh-ray-uh," like sunshine. Raised in the mountains just outside Boulder, Colorado, where the altitude is high and apparently so is the creative output.

I'm a senior designer who does not stay in one lane. Brand strategy, campaign concepting, full-funnel marketing, UX, platform design, motion graphics, web, print, video, storyboards, brand books, event materials, and yes, a login portal that actually makes people want to log in. If it needs to look good, feel right, and move a business forward, I'm already thinking about it.

Paul Rand said "design is so simple, that's why it's so complicated." I have that tattooed on my brain and it shows up in everything I make. I chase the problems that don't have obvious answers. The briefs that require real thinking before anyone cracks open a software file. The ideas that make someone say "why didn't we think of that sooner."

The resume is genuinely weird in the best way. Cannabis tech platforms. Music venues that launched Grammy winners. Global real estate giants. Automotive brands. Breweries. Record labels. Eco-friendly wood stickers sold at the zoo. B2B campaigns for companies you've definitely heard of. The variety is not an accident, it's the whole thing.

I move fast, think wide, and work well with pretty much anyone because I actually like people. That sounds obvious until you meet someone who doesn't. Good design starts with understanding who you're designing for and I take that seriously on both sides of the table.
